Held in conjunction annually with Embryos On Snow, and with the support of gracious sponsors, we are proud to offer a program that recognizes leading young people who are a part of our industry. The primary goal of La Prix is to give back to outstanding youth who have a dream and a goal of building a business or starting a project at the front of their young professional life.
La Prix Scholarship 2027
The partners and founders of Embryos on Snow are proud to generate a program that recognizes leading young people who are a part of our phenomenal industry. Initiated in 2012 by the Embryos on Snow founder, Christy Collins, the primary goal of La Prix is to allow this sale to give back to outstanding youth who have a dream and a goal of building a business or starting a project at the front of their young professional life. It is profound that the sharing of these genetics, that many do not have to sell, can go toward helping a program like La Prix.
A total of $20,000 in five scholarships will be awarded in 2027, with the winner receiving $10,000, first runner-up $5,000, second runner-up $3,000, and third and fourth runners-up both receiving $1,000. This year’s scholarship is made possible by Trans Ova Genetics, an Embryos on Snow premier sponsor. We appreciate the tremendous added support and help.
GUIDELINES
“La Prix” is an essay type contest that will seek to find the young people that have a great deal of ambition, knowledge and ability. The essay contest will not be based on writing ability, rather on content, creativity and the future intent of a young person. An applicant may have any goal, collegiate major or career in mind.
Applicants must be between the ages of 19 and 21 (as of July 1st in the year of application) or be a current Senior in a four year college. They must have some cattle and farm or ranch background. They must hold American or Canadian citizenship and have some past knowledge of the Embryos on Snow program. An applicant must not have been awarded first or second in a past La Prix contest.
An applicant should not be closely associated with the sale staff or a Sponsor of Embryos on Snow. An applicant must not be related to or have a family member currently employed by a sponsor or member of the sale staff. Any association is discouraged and may result in a request of application removal.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Midnight.
